Pictures of Anti Partisan Badge being worn
Outstanding photos of the AP Badge in wear!!! Here are the only other photos I recall seeing of the AP Badge in wear: an SS-Obsersturmfürer wearing tropical shorts and field cap is led blindfolded behind British lines to discuss the surrender of his unit near Tarvisio, Italy on 7 May 1945. The same officer is seen shortly afterwards discussing terms with a British officer. Note the AP Badge [in Silver?], the EK I, Infantry Assault Badge [in Bronze?], National Sports Badge and what appears to be a “Der Führer” cuff title.
This is a fairly well known series of photos...does anyone know the identity of this SS-Obsersturmfürer?
Regards,
Shawn

Interestingly
Hello there;
Interestingly the unit that Kuhbandner was in, the 24th Karstjager was the unit which surrendered to the British somewhere near Tarvisio in Italy on or about the 7th May 1945.... Does anyone think this may be Kuhbandner, I have often wondered. Another SS officer of the same rank from the same unit was named in some research I am doing and so I will dig it out.
Regards

Update
for info, Kuhbandner passed away in Oct 1991.
I have often wondered if the man in the top photo is Kuhbandner. He was in Deutschland regiment of Das Reich, but a lot of people think this cufftitle is Der Fuhrer.
I'd welcome anyone's further pics of APB in wear or info on recipients from members collections of paperwork, soldbuchs etc etc...
regards
