Wow this is a time warp 8O

Great pictures Bill and i'm glad they are back :D

Marcus could this thread be cleaned up no need to keep the dirty laundry in IMO
Or should we use this as a reminder of the forum dark ages?

Richard

Here is one of my favorite items as I am a Spanish Civil War collector. It is the Order of the Yoak and Arrows, Franco's highest order. Goring also was bestowed this order.

Would I be right in assuming Goerring recieved the honour because he was in charge of the Luftwaffe during the civil war?

Did he wear it in Germany?

Italy - Order of the Most Sacred Annunciation “Annumnziata is one of the worlds rarest decorations. It was made from fine solid gold. (See page 3 for small and clear photo in grouping.)

Ribbentrop's medals

#58

Post by finnmedals » 26 Sep 2003, 21:17

Unfortunately I have not seen this topic earlier!

18. FINLAND - Order of White Rose, grand Collar set with the old form of the collar having the Finish Swastika links. Badge, Collar, Star and sash. (4 pieces.) In silver-gilt and enamel. Awarded in 1942

Was sold to one my best collector friends / customers about 5 years ago. We do not actually know who was the original seller - because of the middleman.
Pictures of that will be pictured on my forthcoming book: Collectors Guide to Finnish Orders, Decorations and medals. It would be nice to write the wholy story of the Collar - from the capture of Ribbentrop until its new home - again in Finland. Please let me know If you know the story of this spesific award?
