WolframRaven, come on man, you watching way to much of History and Discovery Channels,IMo your entire posting of 01-04-2015 is way way illogical.

RTHere was no 4th Reich ( Werewolf/partisan attacks on any but 1 man against Allies. And just the idiotic idea that a secret/undercover partisan group, etc would have rings/armbands etc made to ID themselves when the basic idea of such groups is to BE SECRET AND UN IDENTIFiABLE IS an insult to any body.

WolframRaven.... The ring is fantasy garbage, fake, reproduction... and, as Mark said.... anyone who knows ANYTHING about 3rd Reich artifacts and how the RZM worked knows you'll NEVER find an original RZM marked ring! You can believe what you want.... but there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY this P.O.S. ring is original!
End of discussion!

Here's a ring I got about 35 years ago. I need an opinion on it originality.

OK, I recheck the files and the had a bad file extension. Anyway here is the ring. I know they make reproductions of this design, but the one I got from a real vet (35) years ago has the L/11 and D.R.G.M. on the inside.

What do you all think? Was this ever produced during the third Reich

Johnnyrocket,

As for your ring  ... these have been around since the early 1960s.... whether there were any period "originals" I don't know.... but the poor craftsmanship, obvious seam in the band, the markings (an LDO number and patent markings don't ring true to me), unworn condition, and the fact the earlier fakes were marked in that fashion, if I remember correctly, would all make me not want this ring in my collection.

That said... I'm not a ring expert. Post on Wehr. Awards or other forums for more expert opinions... but don't get your hopes up. As I've said 1000+ times... never believe the story, the item HAS to speak for itself... "from a vet. or out of an old collection" means nothing! (or 35 years ago)...

If 1% of the rings (especially any SS & Skull rings) out there are original I'll eat my hat.... (not out of my collection!)

500. is no silver but a resullt of and from titaniumgroup. More value and stronger than silver.

Agreed with John, the ring is junk. The basic skull design is taken from the early SS cap skull buttons ... but is a VERY poor copy.
