Hello,
I have recently purchased a box full of a veterans old decorations and documents from an auction in Germany. So far I know that this veteran was named Hermann Weiss, he is a soldier and was awarded the silver wound badge, iron cross 2nd class and the occupation of the Sudetenland medal. It seems to me that he was also a photographer due to all the photos that came in this box and a few portraits of himself and some of the places hes been to. There is one photo of a Knights cross holder who I think was his CO during 1938-1940. There is a note on the back of the card from the officer but its hard to make out his name. Some help would be much appreicated.
Note the holes on his tunic for the ribbon bars.
Back
Thank you,
Baumer

Hardigan,
The pennant is for a Division and of course for Gebirgsjager.
The General, in my opinion, looks more like Hubert Lanz to me. I think Lanz had a "fuller" face and Kreysing had sharper features. BUT, if there are swords beneath the Oak leaves, then it must be Kreysing. I cannot tell if that is the case.
