Here are the recipients of the German Cross in Gold/Silver (no Close Combat Clasps in Gold) who received their awards while assigned to the 197. Infanterie-Division.

Note #1: Per Lexikon der Wehrmacht, Divisionsgruppe (Div.Gruppe) 52 was assigned to the 197. Inf.Div. from late-1943 to mid-1944. As such, I included in this list those soldiers of Div.Gruppe 52, Regimentsgruppe (Rgt.Gr.) 163 and Rgt.Gr. 181 who received the German Cross in Gold during this period.

Note #2: The remnants of the 197. Inf.Div., in turn, formed Div.Gruppe 197 with Rgt.Gr. 332 and Rgt.Gr. 347. The following German Cross in Gold holders from Div.Gruppe 197 should be counted under Korps-Abteilung H:
listed with "H" / Bernd
Horne, Franz, 12.10.1944, Ofw., 5./Rgt.Gr. 347
Kaiser, Adolf, 12.10.1944, Ofw., 7./Rgt.Gr. 347
Wascher, Richard, 22.09.1944, Ofw., 13./Div.Gruppe 197

Also, note the late dates of award in two cases: Junge (DKiG) and Rittgerodt (DKiS). Is it possible these two awards could be counted under a different unit?

As always, additions/corrections would be most appreciated!
KC list added / Bernd
Best regards,
Shawn

Here are the recipients of the German Cross in Gold (no German Crosses in Silver; no Close Combat Clasps in Gold in 2006 edition of Dörr) who received their awards while assigned to the 112. Infanterie-Division.

Note: The remnants of the 112. Inf.Div. formed Divisionsgruppe (Div.Gruppe) 112 with Regimentsgruppe (Rgt.Gr.) 110 and Rgt.Gr. 258. The following award holders from Div.Gruppe 112 should be counted under Korps-Abteilung B:

German Cross in Gold
Closa, Gerhard, 23.02.1944, Lt. d.R., 7./Rgt.Gr. 258
Kreutzer, Hermann, 24.04.1944, Oblt., 9./Rgt.Gr. 110
Wetzel, Peter, 15.04.1944, Ofw., 9./Rgt.Gr. 110
all listed / Bernd
Close Combat Clasp in Gold
Wetzel, Peter, 12.12.1943, Ofw., Zugfhr. 9./Rgt.Gr. 110

Based on the award dates, I presume Burger, Gaul, Komp, Kopp, Külz, Preusser, Schaaf, Schmidt, Seinsche, and Wurster should also be counted under Korps-Abteilung B; however, I’ve listed them with the 112. Inf.Div. for the time being.
agree , all crossed out , added to "B" [page 40] marked blue there / Bernd
As always, additions/corrections would be most appreciated!

Best regards,
Shawn

Mark V. wrote:Wallonien and Freikorps Danmark were both independent formations attached to another division.
Both units are listed as indepedent units they indeed were with extra lists :
"Wallonien" is listed with all awards on [page 17]
Freikorps Danmark I have added to the 3.SS-PD EBS list with an own entry on [page 48] ; one EBS recipient in the moment, open to any further additions

I have added all NKiG recipients provided by Shawn on pages 49 and 50 as well as a bunch of 30 recipients (Inf.Divs and Pz.Divs) I got per PM by him. Thanks ! also updated all the numbers in total in my files, coming with the next update.

When reviewing my 4. PD files I stumbled over 2 NKiG recipients you can keep in mind for the 7. Panzer-Division list, Shawn :
Carl, Erich 08.09.1944 Obergefreiter i. d. 3./Pz.Aufkl.Abt 7
Heinemann, Andreas 09.11.1944 Unteroffizier Gruppenführer i. d. 2./Pz.Aufkl.Abt 7
(should be the only two of Pz.AA 7 / 7. Pz.Div)

I have corrected the 2.SS-Pz.Div "DR" NKiG list on [page 42] and added the following note :
not counted:
Schmelzer, Heinrich, 06.12.1943 [?], SS-Hstuf., SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. "DR" [stated in various sources as NKiG recipient ; not correct, see below]
00.00.1944 Nahkampfspange II. Stufe (Silber)
06.12.1943 Nahkampfspange I. Stufe (Bronze) (His Ritterkreuz recommendation erroneously gives “Nahkampfspange III. Stufe”, however, by his own account, he did not receive that highest grade of the award) [manuscript Miller]

Here is the single recipient of the German Cross in Gold (no German Crosses in Silver or Close Combat Clasps in Gold) who received his award while assigned to the 355. Infanterie-Division. Of note, the award date is rather late; perhaps he might be counted under Korps-Abteilung A.
Aufkl.Abt 355 was disbanded 07.10.1943 and not used with "A"; not reformed, too / Bernd
Note: The remnants of the 355 Inf.Div. formed Divisionsgruppe 355 with Regimentsgruppe 510 and Regimentsgruppe 866. The following German Cross in Gold holder from Divisionsgruppe 355 should be counted under Korps-Abteilung A:
listed
Raatz, Helmuth, 28.05.1944, Obstlt., Div.Gruppe 355

As always, additions/corrections would be most appreciated!

Best regards,
Shawn

Not to count with 25. PD. I fully agree with Jan-Hendrik. Beside the fact they are not listed by Scherzer -> If we follow a simple and logical way of classification : are in the OOB of the 25. Pz.Div Pz.Brig 104 and Pz.Abt 2111 to find ? No
So, the Panzer-Brigaden are listed for themselves in the Div/Brigaden/Rgter section. It is just we have to add recipients to the already existing KC lists or to make a new entry for a Brigade not listed yet.
I will add Bechtel and Mirbach to the Pz-Brig 104 list on [page 20]
If I'm correct Pz.Abt 2111 belongs to Pz-Brigade 111 (action at Lunéville/France) ; will open a new list with Vornholz for Pz-Brig 111 on page [20], too.

Re: 25. Panzer-Division
I have made all add&corr, thanks Jan-Hendrik
25. Pz.Div , new : KC : 4 [page 12] ; DKiG : 7 , EBS : 5 , AU : 1 [page 31]

with Stachelhaus KC addition to 25. Pz.Div it was to correct :
14. Pz.Div [page 9] -> crossed out Stachelhaus, Hermann, Pz.Gren.Rgt 103 -> 14. Pz.Div , new : 54 KC

Agree to a hint of Shawn in his 62. ID DKiG list on [page 47] and have opened a new list :
403. Sicherungs-Division : DKiG : 1 (Adam, Kurt, Gren.Rgt 354) [page 21]

Re: 6. , 11. , 12. Inf.Div additions , thanks Jeff ! With 12.ID now the last blank filled of the first 25 listed Inf.Divs.

11. Inf.Div : added 4 DKiG recipients and the EBS list (50) to the Divs listing on [page 27]

6. Inf.Div : Kreckow, AR 6 , OL is really another DDD = ??? Very few artillery Oakleaves holders and surely not Kreckow
He is listed correctly with Art.Rgt 6 (L) / 6. Feld.Div (L) on [page 17]
Die Träger der Deutsches Kreuzes in Gold:
Treschkow, Joachim v., Oberst. IR 58 – 15.12.41
added with correct name : von Tresckow , later Generalleutnant (not a brother of Henning von Treskow, awarded the KC on 19.09.1944 ! bearing this name ),
basic data on him see here : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=117057
Added EBS (18) list to the Divs listing on [page 31]

12. Inf.Div : DKiG : 101 , DKiS : 3 , NKiG : 1 , EBS : 40 [page 50]
Die Träger des Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes:
Zenker, Franz, Hptm., Kdr. Pz.Jäg.Abt 12- 10.09.44
Rämsch, Horst, Major, Kdr II./FR 27 - 24.12.44
Zenker is listed correctly with Pz.Jäg.Abt 12 (L) / 12. Feld-Div (L) on [page 17]
Rämsch was confusing if II./Füs.Rgt 27 or II./Pz.Rgt 3 is correct. Discussed with Marko on [page 5]. His statement back in 2006 :
He's indeed listed in the divisional history as Kdr. II./Pz.Rgt.3, assuming the command some time from August till December 1944 and then lead it till the end of the war
My presumption of an Füs.Rgt 27 "deed" and a later Pz.Rgt 3 award was wrong.
In the meanwhile confirmed -> II./Pz.Rgt 3 / 2. Pz.Div [Scherzer] He is listed with 2. Pz.Div on [page 9]

Here are the recipients of the German Cross in Gold (no German Crosses in Silver; no Close Combat Clasps in Gold in 2006 edition of Dörr) who received their awards while assigned to the 137. Infanterie-Division.

Note: The remnants of the division formed Divisionsgruppe 137 with Regimentsgruppe 447 and Regimentsgruppe 448. The following German Cross in Gold holder from Divisionsgruppe 137 should be counted under Korps-Abteilung E:
listed / Bernd
Krämer, Martin, 02.05.1944, Ofw., 4./Gren.Rgt.Gr. 448

Based on the award dates, I presume Grösswang, Lahmann, Lautwein, Repp, Schwerin, Weber, and Wöllm should also be counted under Korps-Abteilung E; however, I’ve listed them with the 137. Inf.Div. for the time being.
Grösswang, Lautwein, Repp and Weber shifted to "E" / not Wöllm, GR 449 wasn't used to form "E"/ not Lahmann, AR 137 not with "E"/ Bernd
As always, additions/corrections would be most appreciated!

Best regards,
Shawn

Re : 7. Panzer-Division add&corr , thanks Jan-Hendrik :D

crossed out Deppisch, Pz.AA 7 / he is recognized and listed with 4. Pz.Div

match for the two NKiG holders I mentioned above ; thought, there could be more for entire div, now the only two in total (?)
Carl, Erich 08.09.1944 Obergefreiter i. d. 3./Pz.Aufkl.Abt 7
Heinemann, Andreas 09.11.1944 Unteroffizier Gruppenführer i. d. 2./Pz.Aufkl.Abt 7
(should be the only two of Pz.AA 7 / 7. Pz.Div)
I have added the EBS and AU lists to the Div lists on [page 22]

KC lists reviewed :

Kriegsmarine [pages 8, 9] completely

4. SS-Pol-Pz.Gren.Div [page 15] -> Havik , Jürgens,Heinz
11. SS-Frw-Pz.Gren.Div "Nordland" [page 10] -> Kausch,OL , Hoffmann,Ludwig , Körner , Fischer,Alfred , Schulz-Streeck
23. SS-Frw-Pz.Gren.Div "Nederland" [page 14] -> Lohmann,OL , Scheibe
15. Waffen-Gren.Div der SS (lett.Nr.1) [page 14] -> Ax , Wulff,Erich
19. Waffen-Gren.Div der SS (lett.Nr.2) [page 14] -> Gaigals , Reinholds , Senbergs

Re : 86. ID and 251. ID DKiG lists on [page 50]

Shawn, thank you very much for the structured and detailed lists with connection to Korps-Abt E !!

Indeed many recipients with their origin unit designations (it is evident these were used still under command of "E") should be to count with Korps-Abt E.
I have made a first evaluation and have stated the results within your post. I have listed 8 of 86. ID and 1 of 251. ID now with Korps-Abt E [page 41].
In a second step and when errors are determined it is no problem to re-list those recipients with their former Div who indeed have been awarded very late for actions during their "Div time".
This is my planned procedere for all the Inf.Div - Korps-Abt issues.

All recipients who eventually are listed wrong with the Korps-Abt are listed in blue.

Result so far : Korps-Abt E : DKiG : 20 / 86. Inf.Div : DKiG : 52 ; 251. Inf.Div : DKiG : 59

confirmation for one recipient of Korps-Abt C
Brösamle, Karl 26.06.1944 Unteroffizier Gewehrführer i. d. 4./Gren.Rgt 330 / Korps-Abt C / XII. AK / 4. Pz.Armee / HGr Nordukraine
[source : Biblio KC series, infantry]
after that I'm quite sure that the other questionable recipient of former 183. Inf.Div was awarded with Korps-Abt C, too :
Schuck, Josef 04.06.1944 Oberleutnant d.R. Führer 3./Gren.Rgt 351

Therefore I have crossed out these two from the 183. Inf.Div/VGD KC list on [page 18]
