Marc Rikmenspoel wrote:Phil, there's a two page biography of Binge in Yerger's Waffen-SS Commanders. Do you not have that work? Binge joined the SS-Polizei Division early in the war, and served there until the autumn of 1943. He then took classes to become a regimental commander, that autumn, before heading the formation staff of the 17. SS-PGD GvB, and then commanding its artillery regiment. Binge then was temporary leader of the division for two stretches during the summer of 1944, before being in an accident and going into the officer reserve of the SS-FHA. He was born May 19, 1895 in Cottbus, and died on June 13, 1982.
