Hello,

These are not misfires,or blancs

The yet non fired ammo was piled up next to the bunker(this was extra ammo,apart from the ammo allready in the bunker)
Then the fired ones where trown outside...
But they never made it to the last round, a think a molotov in the cupola.

This looks like a Pz.Kpfw. IV turret ( 7,5 cm L/48 ) on the
top part of the O.T. Stahlunterstand on a railwaywagon ,
The photo is very blurry , but could this mean that also
the Pz.Kpfw. IV turret could be used on the O.T.Stahlunter-
stand ???

This seems to me like ordinary PzIV turret but on a special designed railcar.
There were somediferences between versions the second one (on Jos photo) has a kind of 'schürzen'
-I saw different photos of this vehicle without 'schürzen' and it had angled walls of superstructure(something like sdkfz 251) For me it is ordinary railcar.

Did the Pantherturms have the Naehverteidigungswaffe?

Hello Mattias

The Panther-Ostwallturm had a coax M.G.34 and a Nahverteidigungswaffe
for close defence placed on the right corner of the turret roof , this weapon
could rotate 360 degree's and could fire smoke candles , grenades and
signal flare's .

Here a OT-Stahlunterstand with Pantherturm , the turret is a early version
it's looks that this OT-Stahlunterstand was fortified with a extra layer of
concrete as you can see on the wooden planking .
The visitor is Benito Mussolini during one of his visit along the front .
