342nd Rifle Division

I'm looking into the history of one of the Soviet divisions in the Far East, the 342nd Rifle Division. I've got some information but not really enough to give a clear picture, and my one reference, Bonn/Glantz's Slaughterhouse, doesn't include this particular formation. Can anyone help?

Basic history - when first formed, where, from what preceding formation, when entered combat (I think this will be the Manchuria campaign), sketch details of engagements, what commanders, and what happened to it after the war (as much is known).
The key who/what/when/where/hows...

Any info would be appreciated..
Thanks :)

BTW, 2 rifle divisions had number 342. 1st was formed in 1941 and in 1943 it became 121 Guard Division. 2nd was formed in 1944 and it's the division you looking for. Division commanders:
colonel Syrykh Georgiy Luk'yanovich (22.11.1944 - 28.07.1945)
major-general Muratov Anatoliy Olegovich (29.07.1945 - 03.09.1945)
This information I found at http://samsv.narod.ru/Div/Sd/sd342/main2.html

From the fellow forum:
342nd Rifle Division (II) was formed according to the GKO decree #6863 of 4.11.1944 in November 1944 in the Far East Front, in the Operational Army in 9.08-3.09.45, in the 87th Rifle Corps of the Far East Front.
The same information about the divisional commanders as Rodan quoted is given.

Strange enough, but according to the list of the GKO decrees the decree # 6863 was entitled "On the assignment of the person subject to military service from Moldavian SSR and Izmail Oblast - Bulgarians, Greeks,Turks and also from Western Belorussia to the industry of Ural, Siberia and Far East"
So somebody is wrong here.
At least it's known for sure that the divsion didn't participate in any actions before August 1945.
