Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
ttvon,
Falck, the "father" of the German Nachtjagd (night fighter wing) was just one year older than Streib but higher ranked. Looks like Major - Oberleutnant here. He had a very characteristic nose, too. So, he is on the left.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Correction
This photo -> Jürgen Oesten , identified recently in fact does not show Oesten.
Argument : Herr Jürgen Oesten (Korv.Kpt. a.D.) himself says this is not him.
(info provided by a colleague watching)

I have a photograph in my collection, on which Otto Kretschmer wrote, while I was asking him, where the photograph was taken: "This is not me!". The problem: It is Kretschmer on the photograph. I compared nose and ears on other photographs and my opinion stays: It is Jürgen Oesten!

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
docarchiv,
ok, hm..., I will give this a further re-check. The suggestion/idea for the Kommandant possibly depicted is/was Harald Gelhaus. Difficult to say for me at the moment.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello,
perhaps anybody can show us a photograph of Harald Gelhaus without hat. I am not a pedant. Perhaps I am wrong with Oesten!
