Kampfgruppen

#30

Post by Rudi S. » 10 Jun 2004, 04:40

May I mention 4 more Kampfgruppen with which I am familiar:
1. Kampfgruppe Pohlmann (Early 1943)
2. KG Böhrend (Narva front - February to May 1944)
3. KG von Werthern (July -Sept 1944 - Lithuania)
4. KG Remer (27 Nov. 1944 - ?; Battle of the Bulge)

The four above where part of the Grossdeutschland/Führer Begleit Bn. (or later Regt., Div., Brigade).
I participated in the 2nd and 3rd battle activities. During the B of the B, I was stationed behind the frontlines (in Prüm), still recuperating from my wounds received from a direct hit of my Stug by a Stalin II 122 mmm grenade.

My interview is on:

Best regards,
Rudi S.
