Do u know anything more of him??
I've searched the internet but the only Hermann Eckhart I can find is a u-boat commander:
Hermann Eckhardt
Born on 15 Jun, 1916 in Aachen.
Crew 36. Kapitänleutnant (1 Mar, 1943)
Died on 11 Mar, 1943, North Atlantic.
Commands:
U-28, U-432

And I don't think that's one and the same...

I can give some infos.
Herman Eckhardt was born 4.January 1920 in Lindach, he fought as a tank men in North Africa (Halfaya, Sollum, El Agheila, Gazala, Tobruk, El Alamein and in Tunesia). In sommer 1943 he came to Russia, up to the end of the war he had a lot of tank victories. 1945 Eckhardt stopped a russian brigade with only 3 assault guns.
EK II: 06.02.1942
EK I: 20.02.1943
Deutsches Kreuz in Gold: 12.09.1944
Ritterkreuz: 18.03.1945

The first picture showing RKT from the GD division would show in my opinion Hans Sachs (in Feldgrau) then Heinz Maaz (in black wrapper).
