Hello MJC.
Perhaps collecting more Renault UE's for a new article (was a nice collection of pics!)?

Here a (second) picture of the garage exhibition for German troops. Char B and Somua S35.

Thank you, I collect UE photos, as I love these little vehicles, lucikly saw one this month at the War and Peace Show at Beltring, Kent here in the UK, I believe only two in the country.

The photo attached (again from e bay!) is of the same Char B1 534 “Bugeaud” which appeared in part two of my article, but a better view of the UE.

Hello,

This is indeed a Berliet GPE2, the drawing is made directly from a photo of such a truck belonging to the 67e BCC (Renault D1 tanks).
These lifting-transporter trucks (camions "leveurs-porteurs") were rather rare : Berliet GPE2 (1 produced), Berliet GPE3 (2 produced), Berliet GPE4 (32 produced) and Willeme DW12A truck (5 produced). This photo with the Renault UE takettes is therefore interesting :)

Regards,

David

Would have been interesting to have a better photo in order to read the name of the city on the station in the background.
