Thanks Denis. Ritterk1 might be a little too heavy set to be Georg Schäfer or Friedrich Banach.

I don't think it is North Africa, rather NW Europe. Most probably Germany.

Hi,

This is GERHARD GRENZEL (* May 13th, 1915) , first NCO from Luftwaffe to receive the Knight´s Cross (on May 8th, 1940) as Stuka pilot from GruppeI / Stukageschwader 1. He is MIA since January 10th, 1941.

middle in Ritt 3,looks like General H Eberbach.

Panzers...inspiration... so Eberbach and the rKT could be Mj Theodor Graf von Schimmlemann? He won the RK before he won the DKiG.

Two pictures from KG 55, Lublin 1943. Second person from left was Hptm Heinrich Höfer, kmdr II/KG55. Went on to become ELT. Does anyone recognize the remaining two?

Thank you Vienna. An eagled eye person spotted v Graffen and I figued it must be Kleffel, his immediate superior officer.

Ub general looks like much as Generalleutnant Dr. Fritz Polack, Kommandeur der 29 Pz.Gren.Division in Italy.
