Hi Dieter,

Frohe Weihnachten !! :D :D

KC 1 was Horst Wachenhausen. There was this beaten up pic of his (not as nice as what you posted) that circulates often on the internet. But there was no mention that he was a KC.

Cheers
Freiherr

Hi freiherr,
the pic (and the others too) is from the Biblio-collection with the request for identification.
And a person with the name Horst Wachenhausen is not mentioned in the new book of Veit Scherzer. But who is him ?!?

This is what I was referring to. It was siad to be Wachenhausen. But I have no credible source to prove it.

Cheers

Here is one more General - RKT. His name should be something like "Lauz". He is on the photo in Russia 1941 with a Gauleiter, probably his name is "Wahl". Any input on this one?

Thanks for your help Dieter !

I have compared with some more photos and the General is indeed Hubert Lanz, General of the 1st Gebirsgjager Division
I'm not sure about Karl Wahl as well.
Here is a photo of him: http://www.ushmm.org/uia-cgi/uia_doc/qu ... uia_znOolG
He does have the same frightening look :|

Hi freiherr!

A supplement:

Herrn
Leutnant G.....dt (a guesswork)
Zugführer 2./Pz.A.A.A.6 ?? = Panzer artillerie- ausbildungs- abteilung 6 ?? ...Aufklärungs-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 6 ??
zur Errinnerung an gemeinsame Arbeit
Wesel, (a city in Germany with barracks) 31.12.1943

Heilbronn (specially "b" is missing)
Major u. Abt.Kdr.! (not i.G.) = Abteilungskommandeur (=battalion commander)

Because the 6. P.D. fought in russia I think it is from an "Ausbildungsabteilung"(combat training) in Germany.

Regards

Vienna (and a happy New Year to all)
