only StuG III (!?). A tank support of LII corps, July 1941

Hallo, All!

(I ask to excuse for a level of my English Language.)

Whether there was a tank support of LII. (52) corps (AOK 17 of HGr Süd) during 16-17.41 and 18-20.07.41?
I have met a mention in memoirs about Wehrmacht`s tanks 16-20.07.41 in a zone of 17th Army to the east of Stalin's Line. ( To the south–east from Jmerinka (Жмеринка) 16-17.07.41, but to the west and at the river Southern Bug 18-20.07.41).
However, I do not find tank units in time structure of 17. Armee of Heeresgruppe Süd (16-20.07.41).

Or: here were only StuG III (!?)
Can be here there were any small units of the XIV. Panzer-Korps [ mechanized Corps](?) for support of infantry 17А???

Best regards, Anatoly.

Sturmbatterie 2./StuG.Abt. 245 was with the 101.le.Inf.Div. on the 17th and 18th July 1941 (at least). The Hungarian tank battalion also supported the 101.le.Inf.Div. sometime around the middle of July. The assets of 2./StuG.Abt. 245 were freely shared with the 100.le.Inf.Div, which was just to the north of the 101.le.Inf.Div. This information is from the war diary of the 101.le.Inf.Div.

Give me some time and I will try and supply a more definite answer to your question. I have search those the wartime records.

Can you supply the name of the memoir (in Cryllic is fine) and were in the book the reference is please.

the records of the LII.A.K. says that one battery of StuG.Abt. 245 was subordinate to the corps from 10.07.41 - 29.08.41. This battery arrived in Mytki on the 17 July 1941 and supported the Aufk.Abt.101+ drive along the railline towards Kopay-Gorod. They only made it to Point 361 just south of Mykti and spent the rest of the day (18 July) in see-saw combat over Point 361. On th 19th Aufk.Abt.101 with one Sturmartillerie zug was sent in the direction of Stanislavchik to screen the gap between the 100.le.Inf.Div. and 101.le.Inf.Div. On the 20th the Aufk.Abt.101 advanced from Telenyntsi to Kopystirin and was to pursue the retreating enemy on the 21st. The next referense to the Sturmgeschutz on the 24th July when two Sturmgeschutz where supporting the division's Vorausabteilung drive from Zhabokrich towards Kleban' and 2./Sturmartillerie was transfered to the 100.le.Inf.Div on the 25th July.

There is a map here that covers part of the action.
