Back row:
Major Kemal Bey from Ohri (Binbasi Ohrili Kemal Bey) the commander of operations group of the 3rd Army Corps. He was a staff officer. His Army serial number is P.1317(1902)-18
date of death: 1957. During the truce of May 24th he was taken to the back of British Lines for talks. Many writers claim that person was Mustafa Kemal.

Army serial number: Sv.(Cavalry)1315(1900)-P.1
Lt.Col in 1914, Col in 1915, Major General in Sept. 12th 1921. He commanded the famous 5th Cavalry Army Corps during the War of Independance. Sept.12th 1922 Lt. Gen., in 1926 he was made General of the Army. He retired Jult 15th 1945.
He entered into politics amd made a MP.

İzzettin Bey (General of the army Izzettin Çalışlar) Borned at Turkish city of Yanya/Greece 1882- Istanbul 1951
During Balkan war he was a Staff captain at the order of 5th Army Corps. He was made Major at 1914, Lt.Col in 1916. He joined to the National Forces of Mustafa Kemal iç July 1st 1920. He was made Col. and commaded 23th Infantry Divizion. He commanded a group at Kutahya-Eskisehir, Ist. and IImd Inonu and Sakarya River battles. Hew was made Brigadier in 1922,Lt.Gen. in 1926, Gem. of the army in 1939. After retirement he was made MP.

Col. Kannengiesser, (Hans Kannengiesser) Between 1914-1918 he served with Turkish army. German Major, Turkish Colonel and Pasha. He commanded Turkish Divisions and Army Corps. During Gallipoli wars he was first Adviser of South Region then commander of 9th Infantry Division.

Col.Rüştü Bey: (Major General Rustu Sakarya) Commander of 16th Infantry Division with 12 battalions.
Borned in Istanbul 1877- Istanbul Dec. 2nd 1951
Serial number: 1311(1898).B.P.70
He fought at Greco Turkish war at the order of 12th Infantry Regiment as Lt. He was made in 1895 2nd lt.,Major in 1903, Lt.Col. in 1909, Col. in 1912. Fought in Balkan War.
British POW in 1921’at Egypt. After his relesament he joined the national Forces of Mustafa Kemal. He was made commander of the 61st Infantry Division in July 6th 1921. Due to his good fights at the Sakarya River he was awarded with the Sirname "Sakarya" by Mustafa Kemal according to the social civil laws of Turkish Republic. He was made Major general in September 13th 1921.

Sitting: Haydar Bey ( Alkan), Hulusi Bey, Nazım Bey, unidentified officer. For the last 4 officers I could'nt get any information. Waiting for contrubition.

New information and correction: Family name of Haydar Bey is not "Alkan" but "Alganer". As Major he was Chief of Staff of the Anafartalar Region. He retired from the army as colonel. The Commander of the Anafartalar Region was german Lt. Col. Wilmer.

İnformation about Major Mehmet Hulusi Bey:(Izmir in 1881- Jan 10th 1950)
Army serial Number:1318(1902)-P.24
At that time he was Chief of Staff of the 9th Inf.Division. The commander was german Lt. Col. Pötrich. (As German Col. Kannengiesser were wounded on Aug.7th, Pötrich was made commander on Aug.8th) He got the family name "Conk" because of his fights on the Conk Bayiri the Conk Hill in Gallipoli. After the Armistrace he joined the National Forces of Turkish Parliament commanded by Mustafa Kemal Pasha. He commanded 24th Inf. Div. as Lt. Col. during the 2nd Inonu Battle in March 23-April 4th 1921 and Aslihanlar-Dumlupinar battles in April 8-15 1921 and Kütahya-Nasuhçal-Eskişehir Battles in July 8/21 1921.He joined the Great Attack of Aug. 26/30 1922 as comander of the 18th Div. He was promoted to col. on August 31th 1922. He retired from the army because of illness in Jan 3rd 1923.

Information about Captain Nazim Bey: Capt. Mehmet Nazim Bey was Chief of Staff of the 16th Inf. Div. Commander was Col. Rüştü (Gen. Sakarya)

He joined the National Forces after Armistrace. He was made Lt. Col. in 1921. He commanded the 4th Inf. Div. in July 15th 1921 he was killed in action. After his death The Turkish National Parliament made him Colonel. He had iron cross first class.
