Hello All
Thank you Michael,I have not heard of this before. What is a PTRD anti-armor rifle,is it the russian anti-tank rifle ?
At what level e.g platoon or company was it used ?
And what year ? and was it in large numbers ?
Thank you
Tony

(The first link, to Wikipedia, also has toward the bottom of the page links to four Soviet grenades, which you expressed an interest in.)
I think usually at platoon level, but I think the Soviets also organized tank killer teams of several such weapons. At what level e.g platoon or company was it used ?
From 1941 on. Apparently it was used as late as the Korean war and I wouldn't doubt that there might be some still floating around in the Third World. And what year ?
Vast numbers. They were fairly inexpensive to turn out, compared to other AT weapons, and could be used not only against tanks, but also halftracks and armored cars and other lightly armored vehicles.and was it in large numbers ?

Yes, it was a greande launcher by Diakonov for Mosin rifle. It was used in the 1941-42 but it was not effective and was removed from inventory in 1942.
