Some pics of Mussolini and some questions

#1

Post by FANGIO » 11 Jul 2006, 22:34

All the pics come from http://www.ilduce.net (almost no info is given there about the pictures). I would like to ask some questions about them:

1st pic - I would like to know the names of Mussolini's sons and daughters.
2nd pic - here's Mussolini with Bruno (now I know the name of one of his sons). Did he see combat? What unit was he assigned to?
3rd pic - well, not a pic of Mussolini but I want to confirm if the italian General with Rommel is Azzi (complete name?).

On the last pic, the man just behind the Italian Fascist Navy officer, dressed in black (PNF uniform) is Galeazzo CIANO, Mussolini's son in law and foreign minister.

in order

-Mussolini's breed: Edda, Bruno, Vittorio, Romano, Anna Maria
-Bruno Mussolini was a air force pilot. He fought in Ethiopia in 1936, in Spain in 1937-39. He served always in bomber units which I don't remember. In the 40s became a test pilot. Died in one of first flights of P108 bomber.
-I don't know if man in pic is general Arnaldo Azzi
-I tend to believe the navy officer is Admiral Cavagnari

No problem :D ,

I think Mussolini was given the award after signing the Lateran pact with the Catholic Church in 1929.
