Col. Şehzade (prince) Osman Fuat Efendi wearing uniform of German cavalry officer.
(İstanbul Feb 24th 1896- Nice/France, May 19th 1973)
Younger son of Şehzade (Prince) Mehmet Selahattin Efendi son of Sultan Murat V. Graduated from Harbiye the War School in 1904. Married to Nebile Hanim the daughter of Egyptian Prince Abbas Halim Pasha in 1913.
During WW1 he organized the resistance at Libya againts Italians in 1916. POW in Italian hands in 1919. Left Turkey after proclamation of Turkish Republic.

Butler of Enver Pasha Salih Fadıl Efendi. He was a muslim from Sudan. He served as a shipsboy at the steamships crusing at Nile. He then get into the service of Egyptian Prince Sait Halim Pasha, the Grandvezier of Ottoman Empire. Enver Pasha was very pleased about his service at a dinner given at Sait Halim Pasha's palace. he requested Sait Halim Pasha that Salih Fadıl Efendi to be his butler.
He tells in his memories how he got his Iron Cross while others dying in various trenches.
"At Galizia Wilhelm II inspected our troops. I was surely with Enver Pasha. My black skin noticed the attention of Kaiser. He called me to his presence and asked me how I got all decorations and medals. I answered "While serving Enver Pasha." So I got my Iron cross."

Brigadier Bahaeddin Pasha commander of 30th IDiv and later 10th AC son of Haci İsmail Efendi from Beşiktaş /İstanbul. Born 1n 1290(1874) in Beşiktaş/İstanbul. Graduated from Harbiye the War School in 1896 as a Lt. KIA at Tatlı Tepe Hill on Karadağ Mountain between Refahiye and Erzincan east Turkey on June 18th 332 (1916) while directing the battle by a sharabnel shell.
