Thanks Coburg22

Can somebody tell me why he was transferred to the Aufklarungs-Abteilung as commander and was this also in TK-division ?
Has he got a woundbadge ? I can't find it anywere .He was heavely wounded in Charkov '43 and served the rest of the war in his homeland with a short stiff leg.

Thanks

additional pre-war info on Kron (from NARA Berlin Doc. Ctr.)

SS-Wachtruppe Dachau/SS-Totenkopfverbande Oberbayern 1933-36 (ENLISTED)
SS-Totenkopfverbande Brandenberg 1936-37 (OFFICER)
SS-Totenkopfstandarte Oberbayern 1937-38 (OFFICER)
SS-Totenkopfstandarte Ostmark 1938
SS-Totenkopfstandarte Oberbayern 1939

Kron was noteworthy in that he was a member of the camp guard units from the very beginning and was a cadre member of the SS-Totenkopfdivision in its formation in Oct-Nov 1939.

In a book I have it states that Otto Kron died of mysterious circumstances in 1951. Does anyone know how he died and the circumstances surrounding his death?

It's been years since I wrote that caption, but I remember reading somewhere that Kron died under mysterious circumstances after testifying at trials. I was hoping someone reading this would have more information, as I'm at a loss for my source, sorry!
