I'm trying to follow my father-in-laws traces during the war from 1943 in Schweinfurt to the PzLehrDiv in France until he was captive in La Cambe POW camp.
I've collected much information during the years but have still to fill many gaps as well.
So, first, some questions:
Where in Schweinfurt were the following units located:
4. Ausbildungs-Kompanie Ersatz-Abteilung 25
Stammkompanie Panzer-Ersatz-und-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 25
My father-in-law mentioned also an instructor named Saalke, a very brutal person he said.
Maybe name of the barracks or such? It is said that the barracks were heavyly bombed and damaged during the allied air raids against Schweinfurt.
The 3. Kompanie Reserve-Panzer-Abteilung was moved between 10/1943 and 03/1944
to France, La Roche Chalais near Bordeaux. Question again, where were the barracks located, or any other information about this time and place?
Thanks in advance
Terra
I'll add later some accounts written by my father-in-law about the battles of Hottot and Lingevres.

Hello Fellows,
I am looking for exactly the same place - La-Roche-Chalais, because my grandfather was there at Christmas 1943. Is there someone who knows why the Res.Pz.Abt 25 moved completly from Erlangen to France?
What could be the reason for that?
Attached there is a picture of some friends of my grandfather who were also there, it was taken at La-Roche-Chalais.
Regards,
Bastian
