Hi,
in the next days I will post some pictures of a photoalbum I bought some months ago.
The quality of these pics is not formidable, but I was not able to scan and resize them
without making them a little blurry, sorry for that.
Apparently, this photoalbum seems to be composed several years later,
because some postcards are not in the right order from the dates they
were written, but I put them in here as they appear in the album.
The soldier, Gerhard S. from Magdeburg, joined the 15. Komp. of the III. Battallion in
Halberstadt around the year 1925 or 1926. Later he was transferred to the
12. (MG) Komp., parts of this Komp. was transfered on the 1st april 1934
to the Flak-Abteilung Brandenburg.
The IR 12th history can be traced back to the Alte Armee and the Freikorps,
the III. Battallion was formed mainly from troops of the Freiwilliges Landesjägerkorps,
under General Maercker.

Due to my relocation from Magdeburg to Stuttgart I only have a 56k modem at hand.
Therefore it will take some time for posting, sorry, well, at least I have some movies to

thanks, well, they are not very spectacular, but I think there are far more albums of WW1
or WW2 available so they should be quite seldom.
I'm not finished yet with this thread, there are some pics left from the
album and I want to scan a few from the above mentioned book of the IR12.
Should be also of interesting for Wehrmacht-collectors, the regimental history is very complex.
