Does anybody have any information on a Brigadier-General Cecconi, especially his first name? Born on 6th February 1887 and entered the army 3rd November 1943. He was captured by the British in Tunis in a hospital on 7th May 1943. He was a POW in the US from August 1943 until he was repatriated in September 1945.

Kind Regards

Steen, This is the only reference to a Brig-Gen Cecconi I could find. It's not him, but could be a grandson or a relative.I tried, sorry I did not succeed. http://www.nato.int/kfor/chronicle/2001/nr_011205.htm Regards, HFK

I see that I had a slip of mind here. He entered the army on the 3rd November 1909 and not 1943.

I also forgot to add that he was a colonel at the time of his capture, but his promotion was already in process.

However in the meantime I have been able to find his first name Evaristo. I would however been interested in any additional information.

HFK thank your for your effort so far.

Kind Regards
