Discussions on the vehicles used by the Axis forces.

Very nice photos!

Is it me or do some of the photos look like they are cropped off on the right?

Hello all

That one is also called "Panzernest" - and right it is a "portable" MG steelbunker.

Widely used on the Italien front, among others - also used in the Atlantic Wall.

Well I never, just when you thought there was nothing new. Takes some inginuity to design a pillbox you can pull behind a horse and cart. Thank you all for the pictures and information.

Hello armyjunk,

Superb pictures. About picture nr 33 (with panzernests) - can you read on your photos, what is exactly written in the white circle on the front wall of this structure? I'm trying to solve this mystery for some time. Maybe you can post enlarged area of this picture, showing exactly the inscription?

Does anyone know what the panzer nearest the camera in pic 1 is? I think the one furthest away is a Jagdtiger but I may be wrong, my recognition skills are pretty poor.

They're both Jagdtigers.
