Four gentlemen

#1

Post by VJK » 30 Jan 2003, 18:39

Hi!

Can anyone please identify the 4 gentlemen standing in the front row. The Ogruf on the left looks so familiar, but I just can't place him, but the others are a complete mystery to me. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

VJK

The guy on the left might be Seyess-Inquart, did he ever get an honorary SS rank?

Yes, he held rank but did not command.

The guy on the left with scar on his face in the post above is Rauter.

You mean the guy at the back?

Here's S-K and Rauter from: http://www.waffen-ss.nl/lstormopr-e.php

This looks more like the guy on the right (of the picture, left of the group).

The Luftwaffe general appears to be Heinz-Hellmuth von Wühlisch, Chef des Generalstabs des Wehrmachtsbefehlshabers in den Niederlanden, 1.12.42-1945. There is a picture of him with Seyss-Inquart and Rauter in Yerger's Allgemeine SS, page 151,
The Army general is Alfred-Hermann Reinhard, commanding general LXXXVIII Armeekorps, 1.7.42-31.12.44

Sven

To complete the caption for this photograph:

the naval officer (central position 2nd row) is the Commander-in-Chief of the Kriegsmarine in the Netherlands, Vice Admiral Gustav Kleikamp.

To recapitulate the first four, from left to right:

Arthur Seyss-Inquart (Reichs Commissioner in the Netherlands)
Heinz-Hellmuth von Wühlisch (Chief of Staff of the C-in-C of the Wehrmacht in the Netherlands)
Hans-Wolfgang Reinhard (Commanding General 88th Army Corps)
Hanns-Albin Rauter (Chief of the SS & SD in the Netherlands)

Cheers,

Hans Houterman
