In fact there appears to have been five investigations into the "ill-treatment" of British airmen at Gross Gerau. Investigations carried out by the British War Crimes Group/North West Europe. One trial was carried out of Martha Nold in Braunschweig/Brunswick, as mentioned above.

The alleged "ill-treatment" of British pilots at Gross Gerau appears to have been the subject of at least five separate investigations. War Crimes Group/North West Europe of the British Ministry of Defense conducts the investigations.

We only have a Ministry of Defence in peacetime.
We have a change of title to War Office in wartime, thus "WO" in the investigations I listed.
The WO 235 series are all war crimes trials by British military courts.
The WO 309, 310 and 311 are all British war crimes investigations from different geographic areas.
