Does someone by any chance have any images of spanish tunics that were used in the civil war? Could you please share if you have any such images?

Preferrably nationalist uniforms or tunics, but I would love it if there were also Republican ones showed too. Thanks

Glad you liked it :D I can post many more from the same book ...As it is has been out of prod for a long time there aren´t copyright problems -I think- :?
Anyway if you want pics of some of the many special units that served in SCW (Regulares,Kabilas Moras,Brigadas Internacionales,CTV,Legion Cóndor...) just ask for them... I said it was a cheap book but only its price was cheap, the book is really good and includes rank and unit insignia of both armies and every plate has a short explanation of what is depicted.

LOS EXTRANJEROS...Just a curious fact: "El Batallon de la Muerte " Was an Italian unit of Anachist Ideology that had to fight against some units of the CTV...A Civil War inside a Civil War.
Althought italians and Brigadas performed generally well .The strong political content of these units led to disastrous decisions along the whole war...Both by under and overestimate their performance.

LAS MILICIAS: Milicias were small units .They came from cadres of civil and political organisations. There were communist,Anarchist,Socialist on the Republican side and Falangist(Nacional Sindicalistas...Something between Fascist and Socialists :? ),Requeté (Monachic organisation with its origin in the XIX century Carlistas Civil Wars between the supporters of the Queen Isabel II and later his son Alfonso XII and the followers of his cousin Carlos VI-Never reigned ,only for a short time in an occupied area of Northern Spain- and his descendants),Renovación Española (A rightist party)...His combat value was small if any, undisciplined, badly armed and untrained were integrated in regular Army as soon as possible...On the Nationalist side.
On the republican it was impossible until the end of war when a fight for power ended with the summary execution of many Anarchist by a Socialist-Communist coalition...This is one of the reasons why "La Republica" lost the war: Divided forces and Command and lack of discipline, intestine fights and bad leadership.
PS: On the first page scanned you can se how Franco won the war.INTEGRATION...These soldiers of Milicias de Falange carry the Carlist Beret.Because they belonged to the "Falange Tradicionalista y de Las JONS" An invention from Franco that joined together three of the rightist militias under his direct command by the end of war.

You can now discern the ideology of the artist...Just look at the wicked apparience of these Milicianos...Women were called "Las Ametralladoras"-The Machine Guns- Why?Well maybe some day I´ll tell you if you´re not too young :P
