I am looking for the informations and picture of oberst Wilhelm Wild.

I know that during WW1 he was chief of staff of 2nd army, but i don't have any other information about him (date of birth, death, ranks, other units in which he served or comanded exc.).

Ehrenrangliste has an Oberstlt. Wild with the HQ of XV. Armeekorps in 1914. Formerly with IR56 and commander or 20. Inf.-Brig.

There is a mention on a Generalmajor (final rank) Wilhelm Wild (1868–1942) who was Stabschef of 2. Armee during World War I in Verleihungen von militärischen Orden und Ehrenzeichen der Ernestinischen Herzogtümer Sachsen-Altenburg, Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha und Sachsen-Meiningen im Ersten Weltkrieg 1914–1918. So the officer is question is most probably

(regrettably I don't have any more information on him).

Ken is correct, he is the former Oberstleutnant in Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 56 although the Stammliste of that regiment will not help as it was published long before Wilhelm Wild joined that unit. Jake also correctly gives his date of birth and death. The son of Generalmajor Edmund Wild, he entered Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 32 on graduation form the Main Cadet Establishment as a Portepee Fähnrich on 5 Feb1887 and as an Abiturient was retroactively commissioned on 14 February 1888 with a Patent of 5.2.87. Promoted to Premier-Lieutenant on 14,5.94, he attended the War Academy and was attached to the General Staff between 1897-1898 and definitively transferred to the General Staff on Promotion to Hauptmann on 29.3.00. He was appointed as a company commander in Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 61 on 17 February 1903 until 1 April 1904 when he returned to the General Staff. Promoted to Major on 27.1.07 he remained on various staff appointments until appointed to a battalion command in Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 56 on 22 March 1912. Promoted to Oberstleutnant on 16 June 1913 he was appointed Chief of Staff of XV. Armee-Korps on 19 June 1914. He was COS of Armee-Abteilung Strantz from 7.12.15 and of 2. Armee from 25.10.16 to 17.4.17 then commander 7. Infanterie-Brigade until 21 May 1918. He was the "Führer" of 20. Infanterie-Brigade from 17.7.18 to 1.11.18. Promoted to Oberst on 24.7.15 and to Generalmajor on 20.9.18.

Hallo an Alle, ich brauche eure Hilfe in folgende Thema:

Der Vorgänger von Oberst W. Wild als Generalstabschef bei Armeegruppe Strantz war der Oberstleutnant Erwin Immanuel Fischer.
Fischer war wie schon beschrieben bis zum 7.12.1915 Chef d. Generalstabes, danach verlieren sich seine Spuren in der Literatur.
Es gibt viele Gerüchte, dass er die preußische Staatsbürgerschaft verloren hätte und in Unehren entlassen wurde.
Gibt es unter den Experten Jemanden der mir den ganzen Sachverhalt erklären kann. Gibt es Literatur über diese Thema der unehrenhaften Entlassungen aus der preuß. Armee im 1. WK?
