Jagdtiger in the Nerherlands
Jagdtiger in the Nerherlands
Hello,
This foto was taken by Frits Rotgans, who was a Dutch resistance fighter. He lived in the Amsterdam but later in the war was hiding out in the south of the Netherlands, Best/Eindhoven. It's probably that this foto was taken here.
Does anybody know this photo or can tell me something about the Jagdtiger on the photo.
It looks as if there is a second Jagdtiger behind the one in the front.

I don't have any info, Hekkie, but thanks for posting this very interesting photo, and welcome to AHF!

Re: Jagdtiger in the Nerherlands
Hi,
This photo has appeared often and ususally captioned as in the Netherlands, having appeared in a Concord book on Arnhem with that caption, however its been positively identified as being at Letmathe, Germany, in the Iserlohn, Hagen, Altena triangle, where six jagdtiger from 2/512 were blown up on 15 April 1945.
There is no use of Jagdtiger vehciles in Holland or the units that had them.
