Slightly to one side of this thread
Further to the photograph of the Borgward B.III (VK302) that Panzermayer posted. As this vehicle started out as a single seat demolition carrier (see photo) I'm curious as to where (how!) the second man sat while the top hatches were shut down

I gather that the french produced 6600 UE-630 tankettes prior to the german invasion, and the UK had fielded about 1300 Bren carriers [source ; Kaufmann "Hitlers Blitzkrieg Campaigns",pp-315-317].
Has any one heard of how many fell into german hands? I see that roughly 1500 French tanks fell intact into german hands from a total of ~ 4000 . Going on that [admittedly rough] guide line there should have been something like ~2500 UE-630 & ~ 500 Bren carriers captured in usable condition?

Speaking odf bren gun cariers my father was telling me that as a young boy in the 1960s he and his brothers had a supless brenn carier on their farm and that they used it practicaly as a toy, imagian if they had taken good care of it and it was still workable.
I went to the old farm afew days ago to look for sings of the wreakage but all cood fing=d was the old tracks , would just the tracks be worth anything does anybody know..

Not directly amphibious but able to wade from the landing ship-craft to the shore without being filled by the waves.At.St_Walker wrote:I'm sorry to resurrect a 2004's thread but i wish to add these version on the list, an amphibious universal carrier :
