What makes you assume that the badge you have shown is original ?

From the poor pictures you show and the fact that it is marked don't look good to me. Better pictures would help.

Hmm, not looking good, better pictures would be nice.
To answer the question how much woudl I pay, I am afraid, thought I AM looking for a real APB deal I would pay nothing for this piece.

1. Flat backed early piece, generally accepted to be produced by Juncker were not marked with ges gesch, in fact they are generally not marked at all although I have seen pictures of one marked with a 2 which was a Juncker number.

2. Next, four cut outs, for a flat backe d Juncker piece this is also a no-no.

3. A flat pin was also used on these early pieces if I am not mistaken.

4. I also dislike the shape of the skull but this is hard to tell with this picture.

5. The finish is in my opinion also shiny in the picture which is something else that worries me as the feinzink types are usually a bit matted in my opinion.

Better pictures would help if you hae them..? Is this available from a dealer or have you been offered it privately. Either way I am of the opinion I'm afraid it is a fake.

The badge is a horrible fake. The solid back C. E. Junker Badge looks like this.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your answers !!!

Someone has offered me this badge. He told me that he bought it from an older woman. Her husband has been a member of the SS and this is original from him. Amd he know the name of the man.

But in your opinion(s) it's a fake. So I don't buy it. He want to get 1250,- € for it.

Thank you !!!
Dirk

I've heard that German soldiers after the war bought replacement copies because they lost thier originals, but often without knowing they bought fake badges in return.
Now i don't know if this is the case with this man,but in my opinion a story is nothing more than a story untill proven different.

Quite true Richard, now maybe if the guys soldbuch had partisan actiosn and badge qualification and this was thrown in for the price, it would be a but more tempting and have more of a ring of truth, but otherwise, it stands alone as it is, unfortuantely or not, a fake.
