(...) A meeting was held in Belgrade on October 20, 1941, attended by Turner, security police chief Wilhelm Fuchs, Franz Rademacher of the German Foreign Ministry, and Adolf Eichmann's men, Franz Stuschke and Friedrich Suhr. It was decided that Jews were to be concentrated in one camp, since it was not possible to deport them to the east before the summer of 1942. (...)

Also, I forgot, does anyone have details on the citation for his award of the German Cross and the Knights Cross or copy of the recommendation..? I know at some point there could be 'verbal' recommendations for maybe sensitive issues etc but I wondered how I could find such documents..???
Any help appreciated..

Hallo,

I only know that the proposal for the decoration came from Oberg.
Oberg also did so in the case of Wilhelm Engelbrecht.

very nice enveloppe.
I'm afraid not the same.
your Suhr was as Polizeiinspektor attached to an Orpo Polizei bataillon stationned at Prag and not to Sipo SD like Friedrich Suhr.
In the hierarchy of the "polizeiverwaltungsbeamten" (administrative police officials)
Polizeiinspektor is equivalent to the police rank of Oberleutnant.

best

Thanks Jerome,
I was wondering what the service of Friedrich Suhr was prior to 1942 :) Since he was fairly young could he have been posted there at the beginning of the war..? He was not in SD as quoted by Kocjo until 1943.
