Hi !

I'm looking for a detailed bio and a good picture of SS-Standartenführer Wolfram Sievers.

Hi Minotaurus,

I have got some material on Sievers (including a photo) but only in german and as a Microsoft Word (.doc) document which can't be posted here. So if you are still interested please send me your email-adress ([email protected]) and I will send the document to you.

Greetings from

Ludger

Oh well, two for the price of one!! It's very interesting to note that Wolfram Sievers signed his surname with a SS runic S at the beginning and end.

Great series of photographs..thanks for posting. I have a fascination with this man but so far not too much in English published on either Sievers or his Ahnenerbe..there is Heather Pringle's book "Himmler's Scholars" (a good book) but little else. I wish Michael Kater's book "Das Ahnenerbe" would get a translation. Sievers later grew a long beard and was dubbed "The Nazi Bluebeard" after the French serial killer Richard (?) Landreau. I think he got the death sentence mostly for his involvement in the August Hirt skeleton collection, arranging for the delivery of bodies via Josef Kramer to Hirt's clinic in Strasbourg. Sievers, Kramer, and order courier Rudolf Brandt were all brought to account for being connected to August Hirt's skeletons of "Judeo-Bolshevik commissars". When American troops captured Hirt's clinic, they found the ghastly remains of these bodies...some headless ones were floating in tubs of fermaldahyde.

Hello everyone!
I've found some picture of Hitler in Berghof. Could anyone help me to identify, is it Wolfram Sievers going behind Hitler?

No. It looks like Karl Brandt.

It is Karl Brandt...I doubt that Sievers ever met his Führer face to face.

They'd been meeting few times in the march of 1938 in Hofburg in connection with the accession of Austria.
