These are PPKs and are highly engraved. You find them in Black silver and gold. These as I understand were awarded by Himmler.

I dont have pictures of the lugers i ment, but yesterday i found this on the web! Also nice and maybe helpfull. But the luger i saw was the ones special awarded to only the highest and respected officers. Your from Holland and maybe you heard the story about Anton Mussert his p.08, He had a silver Luger to. But the intressting story about this is that his Luger showed up a couple of years ago at a local police weapons take in action. I mean the ''vrijwillig in lever actie''. And if I'm right it has been donanated to a museum in Holland!!! :D 8O

The first luger is the Infamous Von Pappen Presentation Luger but there are some questions of this has been awarded really or it isnt!

The luger on the last picture is some sort of Herman Goring presantation luger!

Regards Sebas :D

Terboven had a highly engraved PPK, in silver i think. It was blown up when he killed himself with explosives, it can be seen in a museum in Oslo. The gun is quite nice but all the wooden part are burned away.

Munin, can you please provide the name of the museum in Oslo? Does the museum display any more artifacts of III Reich occupation leaders?

There is some serious question about the v. Papen pistol, especially from his relatives.

The "silver" Luger pictured is a wonderful engraved Krieghoff. Is the Göring inscription elsewhere on the pistol. Can anyone in Oslo provide some information about the Terboven pistol in a museum in that city?

Here is a shot of a beautiful cased presentation PPK from Himmler to one of his generals. The gun was originally gold washed, but only 30 % or so remains. The panel in the grip bears the inscription.

Bill, the presentation plate shows the gift from Himmler to Weitzel. Such pistols vary in value with the inscription and condition of the pistol.
