Hallo Pete
Maybe you're right but Schwarzenbacher (on the left) was also Guard in Belzec, about Lassmann (right) I know nothing more than he was Ustuf.

I think that you will find that the Wirth photo was taken in late 43/early 1944 in OZAK and not at Belzec.

cheers
Pete

There is some doubt as to whether this was really an indipendent concentration camp or a subcamp of KZ - Vaivara. Doubt is fuelled by the fact that the Lagerfuhrer in Klooga was only a SS-Unterscharfuhrer (Sergeant).

Another doubt concern the Vaivara subcamps is for Joehvi.

In 1948 the SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer Hans Aumeier was sentenced to death and executed in Poland for his serious crimes in Estonia.

Amersfoort was mentioned twofold as KL or as Durchgangslager (transit lager)

- Das System der Konzentrationslager (NS map from 1944)
- Coenraad J. F. Stuldreher: "Deutsche Konzentrationslager in den Niederlanden. Amersfoort, Westerbork, Herzogenbusch", 1994

Amersfoort was a "Polizeiliches Durchgangslager" under jurisdiction of BdS in Den Haag, Holland. Not an official KL that fell under WVHA.

The only official KL in Holland was KL Herzogenbusch, also known as Vught.

Regards, JW
Amersfoort in Herzogenbush district was Polizeiliches Durchgangslager of the Kommando Vught.
