Putsch!!!

#1

Post by Helly Angel » 18 Jan 2004, 08:40

On November 8-9, 1923 the young NSDAP started a Putsch to take the control of Munich and begin a "National Revolution". In the first moments they took like allies at the main authorities of Munich: Gustav Ritter von Kahr, State Comisioned; General Otto von Lossow, chief of the Army in Bavaria and Colonel Hans von Seisser, chief of the Munich Police. The motiv of the Putsch was take the control against the "Red Republic from Berlin".

But the morning of November 9, Kahr, Lossow and Seisser were liberated under the "Officer words" to join to the coup. The first action of them was take actions against the Putsch and left the General Ludendorf and Adolf Hitler alone. The young NSDAP, SA, Kriegbundfahne and other little organizations made a march to the War Ministery and meet the police in the Feldherrnhalle when 16 nazis and 4 policeman were dead in the middle of a shooting.

This is the history in photos.

Helly Angel,

I agree, a very interesting thread indeed with great pictures. I would like to know your point of view what happened if the Putsch had succeed, any idea?

Hello all,

Thanks for your kinds words about the thread.

Wojtek,

Here in this thread you can found the photo of a poster with the main accused in the Hitler´s trial. The first one for the left is Ernst Pöhner, the chief of police who openly help Hitler before arrived to Feldherrnhalle. He died in 1925, and like you can see he was a oldman these days.

Benoit,

Well, when the policeman recovered the bodies of the nazis killed in the Putsch, one of the them, Herr Theodor von der Pforten one of the most idealist in the Movement, had in his pcket the proyect ot a new constitution to Germany with 31 clausules: Concentration Camps, Hard Work to inmates, death penalty someone who claim for a democratic goverment, etc.

If the Putsch succeed, the goverment of Hitler were more bloody but broke Germany in several parts, at least Berlin never support Hitler these days, remember the comunist were hard in the capital. The legality signed the way of Hitler until 1934. Is the same case that Venezuela now.

Reichpilot,

No, friend unfortunately I have not but... the first meeting after the prison on february 27, 1925 was in the Bürgerbräukeller and I have the photo that I will put in a thread about the trial of Hitler, his released and the reconstitution of the new NSDAP, very soon.

Best,
