FPN of Propaganda Units in the West

#1

Post by PropCollector » 22 May 2004, 12:23

Hi,

I am doing some research about FPN used by a German Propaganda unit at the Westfront 44-45.

Direct question:
I need to know more on FPN 00020 and FPN 00220. Any info is welcome. If possible WITH sources.

I am told that one of the FPN is from december 44 and the other from februari 45. But I do not entirely think this info to be correct.

The background for my question is that the Germans prepared a leaflet series for the own troops - it had a reply fpn mentioned on every leaflet. The allies forged this series and used (by mistake) another FPN on theirs.
The story is to long to tell here. Maybe I will do that later if I did some more research.

00020
1.allocation = Feldkommandantur 751 from 28.04.1940 to 01.08.1943
2. allocation = Stab, 13. and 14.Kompanie 25.SS-WaffGrenDiv from 11.12.1944

The number was not alloted to any unit in the meantime.

00220
1.allocation = AOK 12 Verbindungsoffizier Wirtschaftsstab AOK 12 and Gruppe Geheime Feldpolizei 520, starting from the mobilization to 02.01.1940, then redesignated Heeresgruppenkommando A until 05.12.1944 under various designations (HGr Süd, HGr B)
2. allocation = Flugblattredaktion Skorpion West from 13.02.1945 to the end of the war

Hallo, Robert,

I`m writing a book about "Kempen 1933 - 1945". The Skorpion West was founded in Kempen in May 1944. I have collected some material about this unit and its activieties. If you like, I send you the paragrah of the book manuscript. My E-Mail: [email protected]
