#1

Post by Michael Miller » 18 Jun 2004, 17:51

Seeking awards- in addition to the following- received by Generalmajor Georg von Neufville (* 27.10.1883 / + 04.11.1941), posthumously promoted to Generalmajor with seniority from 01.10.1941.

Also seeking photos of this officer, who, as an SA-Gruppenführer, will be featured in the book Leaders of the SA, NSKK, and NSFK, Volume I (by myself and Andreas Schulz). Full credit will be given for any and all contributions.

Best wishes and many thanks in advance,
~ Mike

The interesting moment. One of participants of this discussion lives in France in city of Metz. In 1941 Germans so have named Russian village Mihailovskoje. 78 division has grasped this village Mihailovskoje (Metz) November, 19, 1941. In several kilometers from Mihailovskoje was wounded Georg von Neufville.

Hello.
Mihailovskoje it is located in 60 kilometers to the west from city of Moscow, on the left coast of the Moscow river. Whether 78 division was at war in 1940 near to your city?

Hello,
does anyone know when exactly, in the first half of 1941, Georg von Neufville was promoted to Oberst?
Secondly, some secondary sources say that in 1940-1941, Infanterie-Regiment 195 was commanded by an Oberstleutnant Ebeling, before Neufville took command. Has anyone something about this Ebeling?
Thank you for your help! Regards,

Thank you for that! Have you the same for Ebeling, his "maybe" predecessor as commander of Infanterie-Regiment 195?
Thanks again! Regards,

Thank you anyway, graveland. I just opened a new thread about this Oberstleutnant Ebeling (who, as I believe, was Eberhard Ebeling, but I'm still not sure he was commander of Infanterie-Regiment 195 at a time or another...).

Cheers!
