Wondering if there was an BOOK which
main theme is the Veterans personal
accounts of the Battle of Berlin?

If there is not it seems to me there should be
one written soon. Would make interesting reading.

Annelie, there is a book called With Our Backs to Berlin, that does exactly that. There are several stories (some overlapping) about the final days. I'll see if I can get further information for you.

Hi Tom

Yes, thankyou I have read that book by Tony Le Tissier.

I am looking for more Veterans personal stories,
There must be lots of Veterans that have told their
experience. Would like to read all of them.
Especially an Veterans that were on the K'Damm
or in around Charlottenburg and the Brandenburg Gate
area.

Mfg,
Annelie

The book "Last days of the Reich" by James Lucas has several veterans accounts and civilians accounts in regards to the Battle of Berlin.

Oh I can't believe I forgot but Anthony Beevor's The Fall of Berlin: 1945 contains dozens of veterans accounts both German and Russian and civilian accounts.
