Hello:

The webpage is in Polish, and covers the RONA (Russian Liberation Army) and Cossack units that fought on the German side during WW2.

Interestingly, one of the photos on the site seems to show Russian president Putin (or one of his ancestors?) in the uniform of the Cossack units in German service.

Hopefully, one of our Polish contributors can be of more assistance.

Best regards,
Allen/

Allen

According to the site, thi picture shows V. Putin's father in RONA uniform. V. Putin's picture is shown as coparison. According to the site, this picture was found by Victor Suvorov in British archives while he was looking for material related to his book about Marschal Zhukov...

Hello Starinov:

Thank you for the information. I figured it must be one of Putin's ancestors, as President Putin is too young to have served during WW2 (I believe he was born in the 1950's?).

Allen,

What is hard to believe in this story is the fact that the picture was shown to the world by Victor Suvorov. Also if it really was Putin's father, it is hard to believe that the son was later able to work for the KGB...
