Photo of Himmler smoking

#1

Post by Larrister » 30 Nov 2004, 04:43

Hello,

Here are two photos which I recently bought from Kai Rossmann. I believe the photo showing Himmler smoking is very rare as he didn't like smoking. Could someone please tell me who else is in the photos and what the event was.

Best regards
Larrister

Also in the photos are Alfred Arnold, Walther Darré, Gustav Scheel and Wilhelm Murr. The woman is Frau Arnold. They are taken outside the home of the Arnolds near Stuttgart.
It is not rare to see Himmler smoking and this subject has been extensively covered on this forum before.
Max.

A nice set of photos, showing a lot of brass (or in this case, silver bullion ;))

Yeah, it's a pity that we don't know were they're talking about.
I'm really curious what's so funny, Himmler is almost laughing his head off! I actually have seen lots of pics were Himmler seems to have lots of fun......

Nice pictures those last ones .
Just a few questions I had after looking at them.
....On the 2nd one , the white spots ...are they from cigaret ashes or just spots on the picture ? That picture must have cought him by surprise .The black jacket shows every speck of dirt and lint , on the grey one dirt blends in more. In the last one he seams to be holding a cigarello and not a cigaret ?
He is wearing his chained dagger but I don't see any ring ??? And any idea what year these pictures were taken ? Can't read what is on his SS Long Service Award Medal ...if it is 8 or 12 ?
Thanks in advance, Douglas 5

Can't see a Long Service Medal. That's the Blood Order.
