No. Veterans of WW2 are allowed to wear the special 1957 Version without swastikas but modern German Military doesn't have these traditional Medals (Iron Cross and Knights Cross) anymore.

Hello,

The Iron Cross was only issued during wars. Thus, there would be no reason for Germany to issue a current one. I don't know if this is what you were asking but I thought I would tell you. Vets still wear there 1957 versions of the awards, and I would like to think that if a Vet were still alive from the WWI era he could wear his 1914 cross for a specific event or reason. I say an event as I don't think they walk around with these any longer, but perhaps some would still wear a buttonhole as I doubt the Government could say much. Hope this helps.
