Hello,

I'm looking for a photo I saw one day in a book, but don't remember where : it shows an old A7V tank took out from a museum, to be used for the defence of the Reichstag in 1945. Could somebody help ?

Have a nice day,

Seb.

I think you must be refering to the WWI British tank that was photographed in Berlin. Never seen a A7V.

It's quite possible... Saw this photo a little time ago. Could you give me directions about where I can see it ?

Seb.

That's quite interesting, I wonder if they had much trouble trying to start it after it had been sitting in the museum for over 25 years. I wonder how effective, or ineffective it was in defending that area of Berlin, and wether the original machine guns were removed from it and replaced with German ones so that there wouldn't be any ammunition problems.
