COMMANDANTS

#1

Post by Jeremy Dixon » 03 Jan 2005, 18:08

Hello

Has anyone got a list of Commandants of all the major Concentration Camps, also I need this list to include Lagerfuhrer's and Schutzhaftlagerfuhrers and adjutants.

The camps Im interested in in all Major known camps except: AUSCHWITZ-BIRKNEAU, SOBIBOR, TREBLINKA, BELZEC, CHELMNO but all the others. I know this is a big request but Im willing to share any information anyone needs on Officers who served at AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU.

Also can you answer this question was Max SIMON (SS-Gruppenfuhrer) actually adjutant at a concentration camp?

IF ANYONE CAN HELP WITH BIOGRAPHIES (DETAILED BIOGRAPHIES) ON COMMANDANTS AND ALL OF THE ABOVE CAN THEY EMAIL THEM TO ME. IF I GET A GOOD RESPONSE FROM SOMEONE I WILL SEND THEM A COPY OF MY BOOK "COMMANDERS OF AUSCHWITZ" FOR NOTHING.

I can't ask soemone to do all this free.

Thanks very much.

Jeremy

As far as I know Max Simon was never an adjutant at a KL..he started his camp career in SS-Wachtruppe Sachsen in 1934 (he became commander of that unit in 1934 also) before transferring to SS-TV Oberbayern in 1937 as commander of that newly expanded unit. On your first request, "Georg" is master of the camp staff lists on this forum, However, he hasn't posted in a long time..where for out thou Georg?

Most reply to some of the info to this list.

KL Neuengammes first Kdr was SS-Stubaf Walter Eisfeld

Then is the correct name of KL Flossenburg, The KDR of KL Mittelbau-Dora
is SS-Stubaf Otto Förschner...
Also the Sonderlager KL Hinzert is forgotten on this list. Was an independent camp
but not a "Hauptlager" the intence was it to become one, but because of the war
it turned into be a subcamp of KL Buchenwald in the late phase of the war.
Some of the Kdt of "Hinzert" is: Hermann Pister, Egon Zill, and Paul Sporrenberg.

And then the camps:

KL Kauen and KL Herzogenbuch is forgotten in this list. I now its some more and I am sure
that I have spelled or misstaken about the camp in Estonia and I have forgotten the camp in
Latvija, I have to check my files before I answer that.

Best regards,

Georg

I must appologise but the list was made prior to internet access i.e. about 20 years ago when the only contact I had was with fellow member Georges Jerome. Thanks for the corrections what were the dates of Eisfelds command of Neuengamme ?

Interesting that MAX Pauly is shown - he was never at Auschwitz and although his SS file states he was there he was only transferred on "paper". In fact the book that accompanies this new series there is no trace of Pauly inside.
