Hi Ron. first great idea, and wel done,
However , i got some questions on the following,

What is your source on the data for the 12-ss. Pnz.div.?
I cant seem to recall any Grille ? in their 25 and 26 reg.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Grille JUNE 1944:

SS Pz.Gren.Rgt. 25 [12. SS PD] with 6 units
SS Pz.Gren.Rgt. 26 [12. SS PD] with 6 units
--------------------------------------------------------------------
and what type of Grille we are talking.
Thanks in advance

Henk/

Henk,
I used the book Normandy 1944 by Niklas Zetterling.
I may be wrong but on page 354 there is called out with each PGRgt six 15cm s.IG (Sf).
I interpreted these to be Grille.

As to the type, I have made minimal efforts to determine that information. The next step would be to attempt to place them by date to determine model.

If you have this book give me an assessment of your thought on this data.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Ron Klages

Hi Ron,

As i dont have the book "Normandy 1944 by Niklas Zetterling" , maybe i can convince you with some data ;)

Both the 25 and 26 reg had a 13 komp ( the swere inf.gun komp.) its consist of six towed 15cm Swere inf geschutz (s.IG)
and towed by 1t. zugmaschine.

Zustandsbericht 1-6-44.

and the following, as

the 13/25 komp, during training at Beverloo winter 43/44,

7 june 44, the 13/25 with their guns are moving in the abbey ardenne.

The (SF) did the misinformation, i gues

Hope this helps, and please corect me if wrong

best regards Henk/

Hello Henk,

I suspected the data from the book NORMANDY and as you suggest the application of Sf caused me to make the wrong response.

The data you sent provides evidence that the 15cm guns were towed and not Grilles.

I will revise the data base to reflect this condition.

Thank you and best regards,

Ron Klages

Hi Ron,

I will agree with everyone else that these lists are a fine piece of work and that your effort is appreciated.

On your Sturmpanzer numbers you show 72 as the total but from various internet sources I show a total of 112 units delivered to Stu.Pz.Abt.217, Jents also indicates in Panzertruppen Vol2, page 201, that “14 Sturmpz left HZa 8-18 Dec.” Sorry I can be more specific as I don’t have any primary sources but I thought it might be worth a second look.

Also a few typos:

Hummel, December- the line below is duplicated (it was not included in the total count)
Pz.Art.Rgt. 102 [9. PD] with 4 units

Section III
The title of the Jagdpanther section has “38(t)” in it.
Jagdpanther 38(t) with 303 units on the Western Front

Thanks again,
richard

Ron, Do you have any idee when this great work is gonna put in a "distribution" sticky, with all the Sections in one place
That would realy be great , as now they are all over the place ;)

Thanks and keep up the good work!!

Richard,

I have made the typo corrections. The paste function can get in the way from time to time. I will also do some checking regarding Sturmpanzer IVs to 217 and post results.

Henk,

The sticky is now posted

best regards,

Ron Klages
