Here's a photo of some pilots from Fleiger Abteilung 304b (Bavarian) in Palestine. I was wondering if anybody could indentify any of the officers in the photo. I'm particularly intersted in the one on the left in what appears to be Chevauleger uniform, who is he and what was his parent unit? Any clues?
Cheers
Chris
Can anyone ID these German pilots in Palestine?

Thats Erich von Falkenhayn reviewing them so the time frame would be in the last quarter of 1917.
I assume Franz Walz is there somewhere.
Some more FA304b fliegers here:

The guy on the left in your photo looks like Fritz Berthold.

Hi Peter,
Thanks very much once again. Great information and also a great photo. That gives me plenty to work on (further searches etc). Sometimes I get the feeling that you have the answer to every question I've ever wondered about Imperial Germany in your library.
Do any other readers have any info about FA 304b? Particularly about what the pilots' previous regiments were?
Cheers
