Imperiali Division
Hello there! Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of an Italian Division in Tunisia in 1943 called 'Imperiali' Division, did this have something to do with the 50th Special Brigade under Gen. G. Imperiali? I came across mention of him in the 'Bloody road to Tunis' Thanks in advance

OK, I will endeavour to locate the piece of misinformation that I dug up, I did not think there was such a formation.

Do you have more information on Imperiali or this formation? Was the correct name 50th Special Brigade or the Imperiali Brigade?

bad question...the trouble is that the name is half way between a provisional unit (as for the term Special and using the name of commander) and a more regular formation (as giving a number and the denomination Brigade)...a really strange unitSteen Ammentorp wrote:Do you have more information on Imperiali or this formation?
