His books ? Mostly copied from other authors . His dokus ? As reliable as the PRAWDA . Someone who "created" a "sensation" by trying to tell people Nemmerdorf was a "Nazi-Fake" is for me beyond any line of serious work ! Sorry that I have to tell it in such harsh words , but his only intention is to make money , nothing more . Everybody who is seriously interested in history should stay away from such people and avoid to spend money in their open brifcases .

I do not personally have a lot of consideration for Knopp. IMO he is more an entertainer of history than a serious historian. He once wrote for instance in a recent biography of Hitler that Hitler's relationships with women were flagrant evidence of his megalomania. Knopp pretends that Hitler's inability to enjoy normal happy lasting relationships with his entourage (and women) stemmed from the Fuhrer's mystical ideas of his destiny and his devotion to politics.
It is really laughable. Reality is tougher and bleaker but some German "historians" still want to believe that Hitler, although a mad man, had noble motives: as would have said Marlene Dietrich, who knew a lot about men and excelled in calling a villain a villain, Hitler was nothing else than "a jerk afraid of women" and his alledged mystical ideas of his destiny came up as a convenient excuse.
