Does anyone have any info (other site?) giving the order of battle and/or equipment (TOE) for the french in Syria/Lebenon at the time of the Allied invasion 1941.

The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

In June 1941, 3 french submarines of the 9e DSM (Submarine Division) were based in Syria : Caiman, Souffleur and Marsouin.
The 9, Caiman was seriously grenaded. At 12:48 pm, Souffleur was detected on surface (charging batteries) and sinked by HMS Parthian with 4 torpedoes.

hello,
about the 5 men with a coastal artillery fixed gun we can recognize that they belong to the Navy, they are sailors, not Marines :wink:
