This new appeared in this newspaper about the fascist greeting that Paolo di Canio (Lazio football team player) do during the Lazio-Juventus match on last December 17.
In the report is it mentioned that during 1938 World Football Cup in France in the last match between Italy and Hungary, Mussolini with the slogan "To win or die" death threatened the Italian football team. Italy won the Cup.
Some years later this match the Hungarian goalkeeper Antal Szabo said that with the four goals that Italy scored eleven Italian players save their their lifes.
Was it posible that Mussolini threatened to kill his football team or was only one of his typical grandiloquent slogans?
Thanks people

The second one. Italy was fuelled by slogan.panzertruppe2001 wrote: Was it posible that Mussolini threatened to kill his football team or was only one of his typical grandiloquent slogans?
Besides, when a soccer team of ours loses (lost, will lose) an international game, the fault is (was, willl be) always on the referee's side.
